I joined the Council at the last election in 2015. I am an independent Councillor with no political affiliation which allows me to have the freedom to act for the benefit of the village.
I am a married father of 2 and since 2011 have been a ‘Stay at Home Dad’. Before I decided to take on this new role I was previously employed as an Area Manager in retail, traveling across the south of the country.
I have always called Street my home, however, I have also lived in Poole, Dorset and London whilst working in those areas, always keeping Street as my home.
I have watched as Street has developed from a small local village to an internationally known retail centre for central Somerset. I am proud to say I come from and live here and enjoy adding my opinion to local matters
I was a Special Police Constable for 13 years and was promoted to Special Inspector for the Wells Sector covering Street, Glastonbury, Wells and Shepton Mallet. This was a voluntary role which was rewarding to me but also gave me the chance to experience first hand the day to day struggles of the Police.
I would like to think that I bring a no-nonsense, logical point of view to local issues.
I am very approachable and I am always happy to stop and chat to anyone with any questions about the parish and can often be seen out and about within our local community.
