Sole Stories Event at Strode Theatre – 200 Years of Shoemaking in Street

An evening of talks at Strode Theatre celebrating the opening of Shoemakers Museum and 200 years of shoemaking in Street.
Join us for an evening of fascinating talks diving into the craft, heritage, innovation, sustainability and materiality of British shoemaking.
From traditional techniques to future-facing tech like 3D printing and developments in sustainable leather – this event explores developments in shoemaking. Stitching together insights from master cobblers, fashion-lovers, historians, designers and industry disruptors.  Strode Theatre are the hosts for this evening of inspiration and celebration.
Sole Stories is being arranged by Shoemakers Museum and Street and Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce, supported by and hosted at Strode Theatre.
Doors open at 6pm for drinks in the bar, the talks start at 6.30.
